Movie Reviews - New York

Harry Potter and the half blood Prince-
Was worth seeing late, I was awoken by all the trickery...different to the book. but well filmed. Saddest of them all so far. Imax would have done wonders! 8 out of 10

Soul Power-
Was awesome till James Brown ooowwwed out in his little man soul brotha unitard!!! I could do without that. However Mohammed Ali was amazing to watch being interviewed. A very witty man. It's a shame he had to lose his brain magic. Amazing fighter...Some might say a matyr. The ladies dancing were pretty amazing, except when Nicks mom busted it out on the floor. Crazy!!!
It gets and extra point for being at the Sunshine. I love that theatre! 7 out of 10

500 Days of Summer-
It really was a story about love. Very neat way to film it. Rather easy to follow...the acting from Joseph was good. Zooey not so much, she always plays herself which I think worked well for the role, but I would like to see her do something transforming. I thought the friends were very funny. The Ikea scenes funny...the Chinese family funny. The little sister was a great character. A nice Sunday maitinee movie. 8 out of 10

TODAY WAS AMAZING

No wonder I mayor the town.
So waking up early isn't so bad after all:)
I got to have coffee and toast with fabulous swiss jam
I dropped off David and went on my merry way to my hair appointment. FORMIDABLE! good job Amanda. Turns out she knows Stanton, small world!
I got to have my favourite Cinnamon Crunch Bagel and coffee which I haven't don't in yonks! double yay!

Then voice over work for Owners of America, and we snuck some footage of the Parthenon...
still more studio voice overs, alas a long day's hard work. Now I have so much energy, the more I do the more I gain. Go figure!
PS Vitamin water has a new one Tamarind-Pineapple, I even taste a baby hint of coconut, tastes like yum.
I wish you could see me now. GO C BEAR GO!
I forgot to mention that Mason Allred made me a braclet from his custom red duct tape line today, he is too cute!
And another exciting note is finding steals in vintage clothing! I think it is one precious memory from my mother, fashion sense...circa 90's now she's lost her mind...
I also have to have to write a HIT pop song, goal #1. man I was driving down 440 trying to get on the 40 E  but always take 40 W, argh!  and "back on the chain gang..." came on...childhood memories and inspirations

MOVIE REVIEWS

THE HANGOVER
This one I saw twice. That's what friends are for...or free movie tickets. Very funny, I almost didn't go see this. Zach Galifianakis steals the show hands down. "He's a retard..."

YEAR ONE
This was slightly disappointing. Not so into it. There were definitely funny parts and Michael Cera is too cute. Going along for the ride was about as good as it gets. Jack Black is ordinary and a tad lame at times.

PUBLIC ENEMIES
This was great to see. Gangster films are full blown at best. The actors used were well casted, very dapper. So many awesome moments. Very loud and Baby Face Nelson is trigger happy all through out. I especially like the girls make-up.

ART IN GENERAL

Life in mono
Building this day by day
The past, present and future alike
The creative process in myself, exposed, public, yet still unconventional
Growing up, wisdom sinking in, learning more from the wise world I live in.
Watch Out!

Photographic Scientist at Work

May171689.jpg

A one of a kind photographer and artist!
Really special person, great photographer, model, friend, and family man.
Also huge organiser of Chasama.
I've worked with Rick for years now. Ever since the Kristy in New York shoot. What a wonderful week. From styled shoots, to artist installations and even a print shoot with Guilded Age. Lovely stylist Randy, boy do I miss her, that woman gave me strength assurance. Great models, and crew and snacks and music!!!

My first trip back to Australia in two years. What a celebration.
I met new family, it was a treat!
